Exterior Finishes and Windows

sustainable,

low maintenance

Exterior materials were carefully selected for durability and design continuity. Wood decks, walls, and soffits are clad in Kebony—a sustainable, low-maintenance alternative to tropical hardwoods. Finished white oak ceilings on the entry breezeway and upper deck extend the interior oak palette outdoors, enhancing visual flow. Portions of the main residence and garage are wrapped in Equitone architectural panels, offering a refined modern contrast to the warmth of natural wood and custom steel details.

A new 24-guage Taylor Metal roof with Kynar finish crowns both the garage and main home, with new gutters, guards and downspouts scheduled for installation in Aug 2025.

Hardscape and outdoor surfaces

Sand-finished concrete walkways lend a clean, monolithic feel to the entry sequence. Three Italian porcelain tile patios are designed to float on pedestals, eliminating the need for sloping or visible drains—preserving crisp lines and uninterrupted surface transitions throughout the outdoor living spaces

Windows and French doors throughout the home are custom-crafted by Dynamic Fenestration using thermally broken Arte-Aluminum, selected for its ultra-minimal sight-lines, expansive glazing, and precision craftsmanship. From massive lift-and-slide doors and window walls, the entire water-facing side of the home opens itself boldly to the vast expanse of the water and ocean front allowing full connectivity to the natural environment. The north side and east side lower levels shields itself for privacy coyly with conveniently powered clerestory windows.

The space is grounded by large-format tile flooring with the elegant look of poured concrete—providing a clean, modern foundation that contrasts beautifully with the warmth of the oak ceiling above. At center stage, a solid reclaimed oak table seats ten, illuminated by a trio of Tom Dixon Beat pendants that cast a sculptural golden glow.
